This year's carnival in 2024 will have a lot of significance in the towns that celebrate and wait for it the most, such as several towns in Vigo or Orense.

In addition, Ash Wednesday, February 14, this year coincides with Valentine's Day, so it is expected that there will be more places full in hotels, lodgings and therefore more tourists.

It may coincide with rallies of the current electoral campaign for the regional elections of Galicia that will be held this February 18, contested between 7 candidates with options to obtain representation in the regional Chamber

Carnival competition of troupes and floats in Vigo this 10 of febraury of 2024 at the Isaac Peral knot and then parading to Puerta del Sol passing through García Barbón and Policarpo Sanz. 6:00 p.m.

At the end of the Broken Peach concert in Puerta del Sol.

Virtual contest for all ages

Storm Karlotta has caused changes this 2024 carnival in many municipalities due to the intense rains and winds it is leaving behind.

Due to this, the Vigo city council has moved the Monday and Tuesday carnival events to the Vigo Auditorium as well as the children's performances scheduled for Sunday, which are changed to Monday and will also be held there.

The Saudade Orchestra concert was postponed to next Friday, February 16

In Nigrán and A Guardia the parade of groups is postponed to Friday, February 16, in Redondela to February 25.
