One of the greatest airplane tragedies and at the same time the greatest capacity for survival and motivation occurred with the protagonists of flight 571 of the Uruguayan Air Force that crashed in the Andes on October 13, 1972, whose story is reflected in the films "They Live" and "The Snow Club".

But there is another similar accident but not as well known, such as the Vigo-Madrid flight of the Aviaco company that left the Peinador airport on December 4, 1958 and crashed in the Guadarrama mountain range. For two days they searched tirelessly for the plane until the Segovian pastor Luciano Otero located the device (Awarded with a diploma, a thousand pesetas and a month's leave from military service).

All the plane's crew members died instantly (16 passengers and 5 crew members) and the causes of this appear to be due to a mechanical failure combined with poor visibility due to fog, which caused the crash against the "Dead Woman" massif. Named like this because of its peculiar orography.

Stories of lives that were cut short, like those of two girls aged 9 and 10 who were traveling to meet their parents who had saved for the flight to avoid the dangers of the road. That of the stewardess who died at only 18 years old, of a former Celta player......
