About 40 minutes from Vigo (on the Camposancos road (PO-552) or on the Val Miñor highway (VG-20 / AG-57), you will find the Virgin of the rock. Built at first to serve as a guide to the boats.

It is about a Virgin of 15 metes of height made in granite, marble and porcelain built at 100 meters above sea level. Holds in your hand a boat-lookout from which it is possible to contemplate beautiful views of Bayona and the Cies Islands. This viewpoint is accessed from a narrow spiral staircase . It was built by the architect Antonio Palacios (body and mantle) and Ángel García (face and hands).
Open from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 9 pm. Price: 1.5 €
At your feet you have a picnic area perfectly equipped to enjoy a good picnic.

Less than 1 kilometer from here we find the city of Bayona.

As well as the fortress of Monterreal reconverted in Parador and the Church of Santa María de Bayona of the XVIII century and an old town where you can taste the best seafood and fresh galician fish .
