Galicia will prohibit the sale of energy drinks to children and adolescents next year 2024.

It will be the first autonomous community in Spain to do so given the seriousness of the consequences of its habitual consumption.

The false promise of giving wings heard for now in young people who seek to perform better in their studies or athletes who have a beverage vending machine next to the door of their gym promising to lengthen their workouts are nothing more than drinks with excess caffeine and sugar.

The risks due to the high sugar content (11 to 12 tablespoons per 500 ml.) trigger obesity as well as diabetes, in addition to the cardiological risks due to its habitual intake.

Other countries such as Germany and Denmark have regulated the amount of caffeine in these drinks to 32g/100ml.

Poland Lithuania and Latvia also banned the sale of energy drinks to those under 18 years of age.

The White Night or Night of the Museums is celebrated this Friday, August 18. With free admission from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Except for the Liste museum, which will be open until 01:00 a.m. and the Naturnova Headquarters, which will be open until 11:00 p.m.

The Galeón Andalucía, one of the best-preserved ships, has stopped in Vigo coinciding with the Reconquest festival after having docked in Baiona to celebrate the Arribada festival.

Located at the Transatlantic Dock, it is open to visit from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. With different prices; either for adults (€10) and discount for children under 10 (€4), children under 5 free).

From March 30 to April 9, 2023.

New flights are incorporated from Vigo airport complementing the existing ones that will begin this December bridge until the end of September next year.

The company Air Nostrum already flies to Palma de Mallorca and Valencia. Soon other flights will begin either to Gran Canaria, Seville, Menorca, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, Ibiza, Alicante and Bilbao.

Iberia will continue with flights to Madrid and Barcelona. Ryan Air also flies to the latter city.

Air Europa flies to Madrid from Vigo and viceversa.
