• A few days before the start of (#OM24) Marisquiño 2024 which starts this July 8th until Sunday 11th, a hotel occupancy of more than 90% is expected while the urban bus line Vitrasa is closed on its lines and Renfe offers discounts of 10% to travelers who approach Vigo by AVE or Larga Distancia.
  The participants of this urban music, sports and culture festival took place in 2001 when the co-owners of a sports store in the neighborhood of As Travesas Jose Wintern and Carlos Domínguez decided to create a small festival to promote the items from their Skate store. They started performing it on the hill of O Castro, later below the port area, and currently it is mainly celebrated on the Samil beach.
  The location of sporting activities such as Basket 3x3 will be held on the Paseo de las Avenidas del Náutico. As you cross the Casco Vello, you talk about the Urban Descension with departure from the Fortaleza del Castro and the finish line at the Plaza do Berbés. The rest of the sporting activities will take place on the Samil beach as well as the concerts and
  The festival concerts at the Vibra Mahou Theater on Samil's beach will feature 13 musical proposals, including artists such as Rusowsky, LaBlackie, Kyne, Six Sex and Reality, ABHIR.
  In sports, the following modalities stand out:
  Flatland, BMX, Basket 3x3, Breaking, skateboarding, BMT and
  Adaptive Skateboarding.
  As alternative parking spaces on Samil beach, Balaidos, Bouzas, Navia and the Comesaña football field are suggested.

   

During the Marisquiño 2019 (free festival of urban culture, action sports and music) different workshops for children and young people have been programmed:

Graffiti initiation workshop

Friday 9 and Saturday 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

For children between 6 and 13 years by two Galician artists of urban art: O Ras and Powone. Being able to learn the technique of his hand using markers on different surfaces. 

Break Dance Workshop

Friday 9 to Sunday 11

In this year the age has been specified (Last year was issued after 6 years) Classes will be a load of Bboy Kawa initiating them in Breaking and Hip Hop.

A 36-year-old young man, an English court worker, died this morning at an attraction during the Matamá festivities, in Vigo.

The "grasshopper" attraction that Iván Castaño Hervella was riding had one of its arms detached and hit the ground and died. Although the person in charge pressed the button that stops the attraction, it took two turns to do so.

The attraction had passed the annual technical certificate, and its documentation was in order.

The Matamá city council suspended the party program completely and expressed its condolences to the family while the police opened the necessary procedures to investigate what happened.

This June 24th the pre-registration period opens, which this year will have 11% more places in the Galician community.

The Minister of Education, Science, Universities and FP, Román Rodríguez, has announced the new catalogue of cycles with an increase of 4,500 places.

Of the 46,714 FP places offered this new year, more than 36,000 will be in face-to-face mode and more than 9,000 will be in a semi-face-to-face or distance mode.

There are differences between ordinary FP and dual FP, the main one with FP being that with Dual FP the company is jointly responsible for the training of students with the highest number of hours of internships in companies, from 33% onwards, paid, while in traditional FP it is 20% of hours of company internships without pay.

Organic Law 3/2022, of March 31, on the organization and integration of Vocational Training, in its article 55, the dual nature of Vocational Training:
“All vocational training offers for Grades C and D linked to the National Catalogue of Professional Competence Standards will have a dual nature, incorporating a training phase in a company or equivalent organization. The offer of Specialization Courses for Grade E will have a dual nature, in the terms provided for in section 1 of article 52. The offer of Grades A and B may or may not have such a nature, depending on the characteristics of each training.”
