Vigo celebrates the inauguration of a new Talent and Technology Center new cybersecurity agency, an important step towards strengthening digital protection in the city. The agency, which opens with the aim of combating growing cyber threats, will offer protection services to SMEs and large companies, framing Vigo in international defense in cybersecurity matters.

The new agency, located in the Calvario neighborhood, will provide companies with advanced tools to prevent and mitigate cyber attacks. In addition, it will offer awareness and training programs to help local organizations improve their security protocols and protect their sensitive data.

During the inauguration, the Abel Caballeros stressed the importance of having a specialized cybersecurity structure, especially in a global context where cybercrimes are on the rise, referring to young people "they are the army that defends us and their weapon is the computer," said the mayor, who highlighted the company's commitment to "putting Vigo on the map of global cybersecurity. "The president of the Xunta, Alfonso Rueda, indicated the benefit of this new agency and that "young people trained here can work without having to go abroad."
