New changes come to vigo, which will undoubtedly improve the infrastructure of the city:

_Boulevar Gran vía:

It is planned to build ribbons or mechanical ramps covered by a glazing, two directions that will cross Gran Vía street from the Plaza de España to Urzaiz with underground passages for automobile traffic in the necessary points.

Due to this, the figure of Os Redeiros will be transferred from the artist Ramón Conde, Monument to work, located in the same Gran Vía shuffling various destinations for such a beautiful work in the Arenal area; specifically the roundabout of Areal street and the roundabout of the Isaac Peral knot.

_A new Vialia Vigo- Urzaiz center designed by Thom Mayne

The opening of a Vialia * shopping center in the renovated Urzaiz train station is scheduled. The construction of the center will follow the design of the architect Thom Mayne. Giving it greater commercial and leisure services and with a new square with splendid views of the Ría de Vigo.

* The Vialia centers correspond to the Adif and Adif High Speed ​​model for the large railway stations. Where services of culture, leisure, commerce, transport and car rental are found and their exploitation is usually awarded for 50 years.

_City of the Justice of Vigo

It is expected to convert the former Hospital Xeral de Vigo into the new city of Justicia de Vigo, for which the Vigo City of Justice Competition of the Official College of Architects was held, being first and winner of the prize (which will include, apart from the economic endowment the functions of designer and director of work) Alfonso Penela Fernández and in second place José Manuel Casabella López.

_New elevators corresponding to the Vigo Vertical project

It have been plans to link Serafin Avendaño with Vía Norte via an elevator that will improve access between these streets and improve access to the future Vialia Urzaiz center
Also another panoramic elevator will connect the streets Torrecedeira with Pi and Margall, it will be made of glass which will allow to contemplate the views to the Ría.

_The pedestrianization of the Porta del Sol through a 210-meter tunnel that will connect the Policarpo Sanz and Elduayen streets with two directions for automobile traffic, also taking advantage of the existing underground garage and conserving more than a hundred parking spaces.

This work will give a large pedestrian square to the center of Vigo connected to Príncipe Street and pedestrianized now that will redound in the citizens and merchants of the area as they already have other Galician cities such as A Coruña, Lugo or Santiago with the Plaza de Maria Pita , Plaza de España or Plaza del Obradoiro respectively.
